The team

Carbon Statement is a social purpose enterprise, founded to tackle the climate emergency. Back in 2008, we started seeing businesses setting 10% carbon footprint reduction targets. That was great, but few actually knew their 100%. Without the tools to measure carbon, how can we put an end to it?

So, we created tools to simply and transparently identify and eliminate carbon emissions. We developed our analytics platform and engagement tools specifically for the hospitality industry. And our reports are as easy-to-understand as a bank statement for operational emissions – a carbon statement.

The Zero Carbon Forum

After working with hospitality operators to reduce carbon for over 10 years, it was clear that there were major efficiencies to be created by working together. And so, we founded the Zero Carbon Forum to unite the hospitality sector to reach their sustainability and net zero targets faster and more cost-effectively than acting alone.

As a non-profit organisation, all fees go to helping members reduce emissions. We’re empowering hospitality to achieve a collective net zero target at pace, by defining and implementing a credible roadmap to get there. The forum includes more than 20 major operators from across the sector, supported by a team of experts and endorsed by government, UK Hospitality and the British Beer and Pub Association.
